And yes, I imagine we could find key lime pie on the station! (And lemon cakes as well, if you haven't managed to get them here.) But I suppose it's the memory that goes along with the pie that I miss.
The memory is having a slice of pie at the automat near my office. I would go after work for dinner and my friend was a waitress there — it was nice to let go of my day and just listen to Angie speak about hers. Auditions, acting classes, the odd customer or two. I suppose it sounds rather ordinary, but I always looked forward to it.

Key lime is a kind of citrus fruit. It makes a beautifully sweet and tart pie filling and I'm fond of a dollop of whipped cream on top as well.
